I call it the imac graveyard. These are all being removed from our classrooms cause next year we’re going 1:1 ipads and I couldn’t be more happy. I have been wanting to have more technology to work with for the past 3 years and sometimes I still can’t believe it’s happening. We got our own ipads as school was winding down and traded in our desktop computers for macbooks and we even have apple T.V. Students can connect, project, and share projects with the class right from their ipads. K-2 will be getting ipad mini’s and 3-5 will be getting regular ipads because you can’t do testing on the mini’s yet. I got my own personal ipad mini in February and I absolutely love the size and portability and the kids will really love them I’m sure. I have been making a list of apps I want to load right away for my students and am going to be working on making some technology packets for them to do. I am trying to go more paperless, so I am experimenting with different apps that the student could write on top of papers on their ipads then email them to me rather than have so much paper waste.
I spent some time searching the web and couldn’t find much in the way of cute clip art for ipads so I decided to create my own. I want to use them to make some things for my classroom next year.
While working on them last night I was showing my daughter to see what she thought and my son who will be a Freshman said, “Wait, you made those. Those are Legit.” (which I think is the new word for Awesome.) I said, “Yeah I’m going to sell them on TPT.” He said, “Of course your gonna, people will love them.” I want to say “AWWWWWW” because of course I don’t hear stuff like that from my boy anymore. I love how they turned out and can’t wait to start working on things with them for next year. I modeled the clip art teacher with the green shirt and curly hair towards the bottom of the page on the right after myself, but she is a lot cuter than I am. So check out the new set iPad Cute Kids Clip Art on my TPT store. Don’t forget to comment on my last post to win a set of borders from my store I will pick a random winner from the comments next Monday.

Unlike you, I have scrounged to keep the iMacs from being sent to the tech graveyard. Our school finally has projectors and document cameras, along with a Linux lab, but no ipads or laptops. I use the iMacs for everything that doesn't need internet. I have lots of language and Math games loaded on them, and we do our word processing and powerpoint work on them as well. You gotta use what you have, so I will continue to use these until the school catches up with the technology of other places.
I love your clipart pack. I have added it to my wishlist.
